Rigid core and waterproof LVP
A wood-look plank over a core that does not swell. It is what belongs in a basement, a laundry, or a rental where the next tenant is an unknown.

Prefinished solid and engineered
Real wood under a factory finish harder than anything that can be rolled on inside a house, with the warranty already in the box.

Subfloor flattened first
A floating floor telegraphs every hump underneath it and then works its seams apart. Flattening is most of the labor on these jobs and most of what separates the quotes.

Old floor hauled out
Carpet, pad, tack strip, staples, and whatever got glued down in 1994. It leaves in our truck, not on your driveway.

Thresholds and stair nosing
Transitions cut to the height of whatever sits next to them, and nosing to match the plank on any stair the floor runs down.

Pick the plank
Samples come to the house so you see them against your own cabinets and your own light — and we tell you which ones have come back on us.

Clear and flatten
Old flooring out, then the subfloor ground and filled until a straightedge stops rocking anywhere on it.

Lay it
Floated or glued, racked so the seams stagger and the printed pattern never repeats twice underfoot.
- 04
Trim and walk
Thresholds, shoe molding, and stair nosing the same day. There is no cure time, so the room goes back together that evening.

Before you choose
Four honest answers, including the one that sends people back to wood. Anything else, ask on the estimate — that is what it is for.
Is luxury vinyl plank really waterproof?
The plank is. The room is not. Water can sit on rigid core LVP all day without swelling it, but it still finds the seams and the subfloor underneath if a supply line lets go over a weekend. It is the right floor for spills and mopping, not for a flood nobody catches.
LVP or prefinished hardwood?
Wood if you own the house and want it worth more when you sell. LVP if the room takes water, if it is a rental, or if the budget has a hard edge. We will tell you which one we would put in the room, and we do not make more on either.
Can it go over what is there now?
Over tile and over a slab, usually yes, once it is flat. Over carpet, never. Over an existing hardwood floor it is possible, but it raises every threshold and doorway in the house — at that point we would rather look at refinishing what you already have.
Does it hold value like hardwood?
No. LVP is a floor covering and hardwood is part of the house, and buyers in Tulsa treat the two differently. That is not an argument against LVP. It is an argument for putting it in the rooms where it belongs.
